Description: Wendy and David Russell, co-owners and cowebmasters of an educational site devoted to wirehaired fox terriers, Casey's Celtic Charm, operate an awards program that "is strongly motivated by [their] desire to highlight the 'Best of the Best' websites on the Internet. While there are an infinite number of websites on the Net, there are finite numbers that leave an overwhelming feeling of being awe struck by both the content and the structure of the site. The mission of Casey's Celtic Charm Awards Program is to recognize and bring attention to these exceptional sites which demonstrate a unique blend of knowledge and technology." Sites are evaluated on content, design and layout, navigation, and lasting impression.
Citation: "Our evaluators have now completed the review of your site submission. We are extremely proud to present your site with the Casey's Celtic Charm Silver Award. Thank-you for giving us the opportunity to review your work, the visit was most inspiring. Your effort and dedication shine throughout your pages. Webmaster's Response:

I accept this award in memory of my family's wirehaired fox terrier, Angel, aka Pooners or Poonie Dog (1972-1986). She strayed into our lives when she was about six months old. The family who had owned her couldn't deal with such a "lively" and "energetic" puppy. Soon after we took her in, we realized just how truly "special" she was when we came home one day and found the recliner over six feet out of place. Angel had dragged this heavy piece of furniture across a carpeted floor by the flap on the footrest and obviously had stopped only when her haunches hit the hearth! Though she had shredded the flap in the process, no one in our family was angry with her; we all marvelled at the strength and tenacity of this young little dog. She always loved to play tug-of-war with a length of rope or an old towel; she usually won because once she clamped on, she would not let go! Until the final year of her life when she went blind, she never tired of chasing down an old tennis ball, inside or out. She was a smart, affectionate, loyal, tough, fearless, and feisty member of our family; she fit right in. I still miss her; she was such a great dog...
