To the Editor:

With the mid-term elections completed, Congress needs "to get back to doing the people's business." The first order of that business is the impeachment of William Jefferson Clinton and his removal from the office of President.

We know the sordid details of a few of his adulterous liaisons and victims of his ravenous lusts. Clinton has made a mockery of his marriage vows.

We know that he lied while under oath in two separate judicial proceedings. We know that he did so to protect himself from legal liability and to deny a fellow citizen her right to seek damages for his sexual harassment of her. Clinton has made a mockery of both the rule of law and the concept of equal justice under law.

The Constitution requires the President to "take care that the laws be faithfully executed." We know that he failed to enforce the law by breaking it. We know that he committed perjury and conducted a campaign of lies and deceit to obstruct a lawful inquiry into his criminal misconduct. Clinton has made a mockery of his oath of office.

We know that Bill Clinton has acted both immorally and criminally thus thoroughly disqualifying himself for the office of trust he currently holds. Constitutionally, the only solution to this intolerable situation is impeachment by the House, conviction by the Senate, and removal from office. The failure of the American people, through their elected representatives, to remove such a despicable, disreputable degenerate would be a mockery of self-government.
